MIAMI -- Here they are again, back on the brink of a championship. It slipped away from the San Antonio Spurs last year, but it would take something special -- historic, actually -- to stop them now. The Miami Heat would have to make the biggest comeback in NBA Finals history. "Theyre the two-time champs, theyre a great team, and there is still one more game," Spurs guard Tony Parker said. "We have to win one more game." Kawhi Leonard had 20 points and 14 rebounds, and the Spurs routed the Heat again, winning 107-86 on Thursday night to open a commanding 3-1 lead. The Spurs can win their fifth NBA championship with a victory at home in Game 5 on Sunday and avenge their seven-game loss to Miami last year. They have three chances, and the way theyre dominating the Heat, they might need just one. "Im pleased that they performed as well as they did while weve been in Miami, and thats about as far as it goes," Spurs coach Gregg Popovich said. "Now weve got to go back home and play as well or better." LeBron James had 28 points and eight rebounds, but Dwyane Wade was just 1 of 10 through three quarters and finished with 10 points. "They smashed us," James said. "Two straight home games got off to awful starts. They came in and were much better than us in these last two games. Its just that simple." No team has overcome a 3-1 deficit in the finals, and the way the Heat were outclassed twice on their home floor makes it hard to imagine the two-time champions being the first. "We put ourselves in a position where it is about making history," James added. Parker added 19 points, and Tim Duncan had 10 points and 11 rebounds for the Spurs, who shot 57 per cent from the field and are hitting 54 per cent in the series. The Spurs lost twice in Miami to end last years finals, their only defeat in the championship round. They won their two games in South Florida this time by a combined 40 points. San Antonios surprising dominance has Miami on its heels, and unless Miami can figure things out quickly, the Heats two-year championship reign will come to an abrupt end. If this was the last home game of the season in Miami, it looked and sounded nothing like the ones to end the last two years, which featured confetti falling and trophies raised. This one had the unfamiliar sound of boos late in the first half and a chant of "Go Spurs Go!" with under 3 minutes left from the San Antonio fans who remained long after many of Miamis had bolted. A Heat win Sunday would force a Game 6 in Miami Tuesday. The Heat had followed their last 13 post-season losses with a victory, but now at the end of a fourth straight season that has gone the distance, they might be out of gas. Miami seemed to lack the energy -- or maybe effort -- to defend San Antonios precision ball movement for the full 24 seconds, and time after time the Spurs ended up with a shot from somebody who didnt have a defender nearby. Not quite as sharp as when they shot a finals-record 75.8 per cent in the first half Tuesday night, the Spurs were still plenty good enough to open another huge lead by halftime, and they withstood every attempt Miami made to make a run. "We were expecting a reaction from them but we were ready for it, so we just did the same thing," Spurs forward Boris Diaw said. The Spurs knew their defence had to be better, realizing their once-in-a-lifetime, 19-for-21 start in Tuesdays 111-92 Game 3 victory covered the fact that they allowed Miami to make more than 50 per cent in the game. They held Miami to 35 per cent in the first half. "They played great and I can honestly say I dont think any of us were expecting this type of performance," Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said. San Antonio blew the game open late in the second quarter with seven straight points, capped by Leonards soaring follow dunk that made it 55-33. James, who battled cramps in Game 1, left the court and briefly returned to the locker room midway through the first quarter Thursday. But he had 10 quick points in the third quarter to bring Miami within 13, but San Antonio pushed it to 81-57 after three and never looked back. Notes: Under Popovich, the Spurs have won 15 of the 18 best-of-seven series in which they led 2-1. ... The Heat hadnt lost back-to-back games in the playoffs since dropping three straight against the Boston Celtics in the 2012 Eastern Conference finals. Kevin Johnson Jersey . Advancing to the Champions League quarterfinals should be a formality after Lionel Messi scored a penalty and Dani Alves added a late second to secure a commanding 2-0 advantage over City in the round of 16 on Tuesday. Marquese Chriss Jersey . "Win basketball games," Collins said. He will get at least a few more chances. Collins played the final minutes of a winning home debut with the Brooklyn Nets, who cooled off the Chicago Bulls with a 96-80 victory Monday night. http://www.sunsofficialshop.us/dan-majerle-suns-jersey/.9 million deal Thursday. The 25-year McGinn had 19 goals and 19 assists in 79 games last season in helping the Avalanche tie a franchise record with 52 wins. Grant Hill Jersey . The Brazil defender was substituted 13 minutes into Wednesdays 2-1 Copa del Rey win at Athletic Bilbao because of a right hamstring problem. Scans revealed a second grade tear which could keep him out for a reported four to six weeks. Penny Hardaway Jersey . The Heat centre scored 10 of his 30 points early in the first quarter to silence the Toronto fans as Miami defeated the Raptors 113-101 on Friday night. MINNEAPOLIS -- Zack Greinke added to his century-best run on a historic night for the Los Angeles Dodgers. Greinke pitched six strong innings, Juan Uribe had two RBIs and the Los Angeles Dodgers earned their 10,000th win in franchise history, 6-4 over the Minnesota Twins on Wednesday night. Greinke (5-0) struck out six and didnt allow an earned run through drizzling rain and temperatures that dipped into the 30s. He now has gone 18 straight regular-season starts of at least five innings while allowing two runs or fewer, the longest run since 1914. He also has opened a season with wins in five straight decisions for the first time since he was 6-0 in his AL Cy Young Award season of 2009. "My stuff was a lot better then," Greinke said. "Im locating better, being smarter. Ive gotten a lot of help here, nice defensive plays." The Dodgers join the Giants, Cubs and Braves as the only franchises to win 10,000 games. Manager Don Mattingly has been around for 275 of those victories. The laid-back former Yankee quipped that he might even keep a souvenir ball from this milestone victory. "If I can get one, it wouldnt be bad to have one," Mattingly said. "It feels pretty good." With the bases loaded and the Twins trailing 5-1 in the seventh, reliever Chris Withrow got Trevor Plouffe to pop out to shortstop on a 3-0 pitch to end the threat. Plouffes two-run double in the ninth made it 6-4, but Kenley Jansen retired Chris Colabello to earn his 10th save in 12 chances. "Thats why hes here. A chance for him," Twins manager Ron Gardenhire said about Plouffe getting the green light on 3-0. "Get him in a fastball situation like that, thats what we want to see, and he took a rip." Adrian Gonzalez, Andre Ethier and Yasiel Puig each added two hits and an RBI. Eduardo Escobar had a career-high four hits and two RBIs for the Twins. It rained most of the day on Wednesday and a tarp covered the pitchers mound and batters box at Target Field 15 minutes before first pitch. "It was a good game for us, a little bit of weather," Mattingly said. "You didnt hear any complaining. Guys were ready to play.dddddddddddd." Greinke wasnt fazed, and won his 12th game in 17 starts since Aug. 5. The right-hander has pitched at least five innings and allowed two runs or fewer in 18 consecutive regular season starts. With Minnesota up 1-0, Drew Butera slid headfirst and touched home just ahead of Kurt Suzukis tag after Hanley Ramierz singled to left in the third. Manager Ron Gardenhire challenged the safe call by home plate umpire Chris Segal, but lost after the call was confirmed following a 2-minute replay review. Uribes two-run single made it 5-1 in the seventh. Minnesota advanced a runner at least to second base six times against Greinke, but couldnt break through beyond Escobars double. Greinke had been 0-3 with a 5.63 ERA at Target Field entering Wednesday. "I thought we made him work really hard tonight," Gardenhire said. "But hes a competitor. He always seems to find a way to get deep in the game and he makes pitches when he has to." Kyle Gibson (3-2) allowed five runs in 6 2-3 innings and lost his second consecutive start after beginning the season 3-0 with a 0.93 ERA. Twins second baseman Brian Dozier did his best to help Gibson. When Gonzalezs grounder to first took a bad hop and ricocheted of Joe Mauers shoulder, Dozier hustled over, dove, and scooped the ball to Gibson with his glove for the out. Tuesdays series opener was postponed due to wintry weather and the two teams are scheduled to play a doubleheader on Thursday. NOTES: Dan Haren (3-0, 2.03 ERA) will start the first game of Thursdays doubleheader for the Dodgers. Mattingly said Red Patterson will "probably" be called up as the 26th man to start the night game. ... Mike Pelfrey (0-2, 7.32) will start the first game for Minnesota and Kris Johnson will make his major league debut in the nightcap. ... Injured ace Clayton Kershaw makes his second minor league rehab start on Wednesday. If all goes well, Mattingly said Kershaw could rejoin the rotation later this week. ...
